Washington Area Frisbee Club
WAFC promotes healthy lifestyles and empowers future leaders through learning, playing, teaching, and coaching ultimate in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. We share WAFCs values of respect, equity and inclusion and community. Many DC Shadow players coach WAFC youth programs and/or compete in WAFC leagues.
Washington Coalition for Women’s Professional Sports
DC Shadow is a founding member of this coalition along with the Washington Spirit, Washington Mystics, and the DC Divas in association with leveling the Playing Field. The coalition’s mission is to purposefully and significantly impact the greater Washington community by connecting the DMV’s women’s professional sports clubs. The coalition’s first service project collected and delivered over 10,000 sports bras to underserved local youth.
Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital
All active Girl Scouts get into DC Shadow home games for free. Girl Scouts are invited to learn more about the sport of ultimate and try their hand at playing by attending the free youth clinics held immediately prior to each home game.
