She became a lifelong fan of Ultimate Frisbee the day her eldest daughter returned home from her first year of college with a new passion. After years of early morning and late night games, or weekend-long soccer tournaments, the logistics presented nothing new to Barbara. However, the culture and spirit of the game did. Both of her children call Washington, D.C. home, with heavy involvement in the Ultimate community. She proudly supports and attends Ultimate events, even from her home outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Barbara sits on two non-profit boards and manages five social media presences. She is beyond excited to be a part of the first professional Womxn’s team in Washington D.C.
